As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will help design and automate reports using SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI and other related technologies.
Additional responsibilities include managing BI and data analytic processes focusing on ETL architecture, design and development of reports and dashboards, data quality and automation.
Essential Functions:
- Develop interactive dashboards and reporting using SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI and comparable
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency output from dashboards and reports.
- Design and maintain ETL and the supporting data objects for our growing BI
- Create simple to complex analytical
- Design and maintain complex data schema
- Identify architectural improvements to enhance ETL performance and
- Gather requirements, develop design and technical specification documents, and perform testing and impact
- Collaborate to build extendable analytical data
- Provide ad hoc data and report requests in SSRS using relational, SSAS data sources (cubes) and MDX scripts to support business needs.
- Troubleshoot production issues and performance tuning of query performance, ETL performance and report performance, and test accuracy and consistency of data.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience in an analytical position involving data management and collection, modeling, and interpretation across complex data sets
- 3-7 years’ experience with SSRS
- 3-7 years’ experience with SSIS
- 3-7 years’ experience with SSAS
- 3-7 years’ experience with Power BI
- Experience with data warehouse
- Strong T-SQL, Python, and data manipulation knowledge
- Experience with cubes and MDX
- Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and overlapping
- Proven ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas and technologies
- Strong analytical thinking and organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical design and
- Ability to test data for accuracy and consistency.
- A passion for working with data and collaboratively coming up with creative ways to present it based on customer requirements.
- Detail oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to take an abstract problem and break it down into actionable tasks that deliver results
- Ability to work with little to no supervision; be a self-starter.
- Provide mentoring to teammates when needed
