The Franchise Sales Representative will be responsible for driving growth by selling franchise opportunities to qualified entrepreneurs. This role is responsible for executing the full sales cycle-from proactive lead generation through the execution of the Franchise Agreement- while ensuring every prospect interaction reflects the professionalism and integrity of the Massage Envy brand.
Lead Generation & Qualification
- Identify and qualify prospective franchisees through online inquiries, referrals, industry events, targeted outreach, and other lead sources.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all franchise inquiries, delivering a polished and brand-aligned introduction to Massage Envy.
- Manage leads through FranConnect CRM, ensuring meticulous tracking, timely follow-up, and accurate recordkeeping.
- Maintain regular communication with prospects through calls, emails, and drip campaigns to build interest and engagement.
- Partner with marketing to develop campaigns that target ideal franchisee profiles.
Full-Cycle Sales Process Management
- Follow and execute Massage Envy’s defined sales process, from initial gatekeeping call through to “Meet the Team” days and final agreement execution.
- Confidently present the Massage Envy business model, operational support, and financial requirements to qualified candidates.
- Review and communicate the contents of the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), ensuring compliance and understanding.
- Guide candidates through every stage of the approval process, fostering trust and long-term engagement.
- Facilitate a smooth transition from the sales process to the operations and construction teams.
- Provide a formal introduction between the new franchisee and key corporate support contacts.
- Check in regularly during the first 90 days to address questions, ensure operational alignment, and maintain strong relationship ties.
- Gather feedback on the onboarding process to recommend improvements.
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date records of all prospect interactions and next steps within FranConnect.
- Monitor sales metrics, track pipeline movement, and provide weekly performance reports to leadership.
- Identify stalled prospects and take proactive steps to re-engage them.
- Manage reminders for follow-up calls, emails, and meetings to ensure no prospects fall out of the pipeline due to missed communication.
- Regularly audit FranConnect to ensure data is accurate, complete and aligned with reporting standards.
- Merge duplicate records and remove inactive or unqualified leads.
Market Research & Strategic Insight
- Stay informed on franchise industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging market opportunities.
- Provide strategic recommendations to enhance lead quality, refine the sales process, and improve conversion rates.
- Track competitor franchise offerings, price structures, and promotional strategies.
- Identify differentiators that can strengthen Massage Envy’s value proposition during sales conversations.
- Research demographic, economic, and business data for potential franchise territories.
- Evaluate market saturation, consumer demand, and growth potential to prioritize target areas.
Event Coordination
- Plan, coordinate, and execute franchise sales events, webinars, and “Meet the Team” days.
- Manage schedules, participant communications, and post-event follow-ups to maximize engagement.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required |
- 2+ years in Franchise Sales and/or Franchise Operations (if experience in franchise operations, some previous sales experience is preferred)
- Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to following an established, results-driven sales process.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in FranConnect or other franchise CRM platforms.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and persuasive presence.
- Ability to understand prospects’ needs by listening and tailor presentations accordingly.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills with the ability to manage multiple prospects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Possess self-motivation, business acumen, and in-depth analytical skills.
- Ability to travel when appropriate (25% travel).
