Overview

The Program Director is responsible for strategic planning, team leadership, resource management, and key stakeholder communication in support of and overseeing a portfolio of projects including new service rollouts, implementation of brand initiatives, national promotions, and the design and construction of franchised locationsThe Program Director works with key stakeholders to ensure projects are completed timely, within budget, and aligned with company objectivesIn addition, this role leads, coaches, and develops a team of project managers to drive consistency, efficiency, and excellence across the franchise network 

 

 

Essential Functions: 

 

  • Define, develop, and implement project management strategies, processes, and best practices to enhance project delivery  
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of design and construction projects, including new location openings, and the refresh/remodel/relocation of existing franchised locations, as well as new service rollouts, brand initiatives, and national promotions, ensuring timely completion and in accordance with brand standards 
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including leadership, internal cross-functional team members, vendors, and franchisees 
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders on project status  
  • Assist with risk management and mitigation strategies, reporting progress and any necessary modifications to project plans to Project Sponsor and Director, National Operations 
  • Works with Director, National Operations, to establish, coordinate and determine prioritization across multiple projects and manage implementation capacity for project management team and the network to ensure successful execution 
  • Manages individual projects approximately 25% of the time, working with Project Sponsors and cross-functional teams to define scope, timeline, tasks, and dependencies, leading the project from initiation through post-mortem analysis 
  • Conducts post-mortems across portfolio of projects to identify areas for continuous improvement and sharing of best practices   
  • Lead, develop, and coach team of Project Managers, and construction manager(s), conducting talent assessments, delegating tasks and executing performance reviews

 

 

Education, Experience and Skills Required: 

  • College degree (preferred) or equivalent experience  
  • 5+ years of experience in project coordination or program management in a business environment, multi-unit and/or franchise experience desired  
  • Minimum 3 years leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams  
  • Demonstrated success overseeing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives such as service rollouts, brand campaigns, and construction/design projects. 
  • Proficient in MS applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and MS Project.; Smartsheet a plus 
  • Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking abilities; proactive in identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies 
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets and resource allocation 
  • Able to manage time effectively, prioritize workload, and handle multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction or oversight 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with others and work effectively in a team environment with a high degree of professionalism and business acumen 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining focus on long-term objectives 
  • Willing to travel 10%
