Job Title: IT Senior Program Manager
Reports To: VP, Information Technology
The IT Senior Program Manager is responsible for overall program/project management governance and successful execution across multiple lines of business.
Develop and implement a strategy and roadmap for building end-to-end operational excellence into the Project Delivery Framework in adherence with PMI standards
Manage and oversee all aspects of the project portfolio within distributed teams
Provide project leadership by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to tasks/responsibilities and milestones
Provide ownership of the project life cycle to successfully deliver projects, which includes full implementation from initiation to deployment for simultaneous executing initiatives
Manage all aspects of program management to ensure program aligns to and directly supports the achievement of strategic initiatives
Define and measure success criteria and disseminate to teams throughout the project/program lifecycle
Develop project roadmap, release plan, resource allocation, communication plan, risks and issues management plan, test plan and defect management plan
Assess variances from the project plan to identify potential risks and issue; develop and implement changes as necessary to ensure project meets time, costs and quality objectives
Manage day-to-day project activities and resources, which includes facilitating project meetings
Provide status reporting on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across company leadership
Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders
Develop and maintain a productive work relationship with key stakeholders and other internal/external partners
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
7+ years of experience managing and delivering mission-critical, high-availability large and small IT development projects using structured project management and system development methodologies
7+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment
7+ years of experience with full product lifecycle with understanding of development lifecycle and various technology methodologies that support that lifecycle
Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring teams while leveraging project methodologies, with strong focus on continuous improvement and developing self-organizing teams
Proficiency in SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Excel, and Word
Excellent leadership skills, team-focused with high energy and a positive attitude
Strong analytical, estimating, and problem-solving skills
Ability to think strategically and develop tactical methods to achieve objectives and goals
Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups
Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration, and negotiation skills
Ability to work well within a team environment, as well as independently.
Certified PMP (Project Management Professional)
