  • Overview

    The Regional Director supports the independently owned and operated franchised locations across Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri and Southern Illinois with the support of the District Managers (DM).  You will build positive and long-term relationships to support franchisees in your region from a business and operational aspect and ensuring franchisees operate in compliance with Massage Envy brand standards.  You will be responsible for support in all franchised locations within a specified region and have 2 direct reports (District Manager level) and will report to the Director of Field Operations (DFO).

    What We'll Accomplish Together

    Success Outcome #1: You will share and build authentic relationships with franchisees based on mutual accountability, authenticity, and excellence that aims towards achieving financial and operations goals for the Massage Envy franchise system.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Relationships - quickly establish positive relationships with all franchisees and their business managers in the district
    • Franchise support - through your  District Manager, provide support and helpful resources for franchisees; serve as the liaison to appropriate subject matter experts at the corporate office


    Success Outcome #2:  You, along with your District Manager, will influence franchisees to deliver strong operational performance at their franchised locations by measuring the right indicators and providing appropriate coaching and follow-up.


    Key Responsibilities:


    • Standards review - ensure completion, documentation and follow-up on compliance requirements as measured in the Operations Standards Reviews (OSR) at each franchised location Business coaching - deliver appropriate business coaching and follow-up to franchisees based OSR results
    • Accountability and Improvement - hold franchisees accountable to Massage Envy System Standards; influence franchisees for improvement in their operational metrics
    • Training - provide on-site training for franchisees to assist with opening of franchised locations, and if requested, additional training to improve operations metrics



    Success Outcome #3: You and your team will communicate and champion corporate initiatives and strategies with the franchised locations in the region


    Key Responsibilities:


    • Market growth - assist with strategic market planning and site analysis review for all current and future sites by collaborating with the franchise sales team and DFO
    • Communicate and Motivate - lead cooperative and other meetings with franchisees in the region to provide clear communication of corporate initiatives and rollouts; follow-up and support corporate initiatives and rollouts within the region; generate excitement and motivation for franchisees engagement and compliance with corporate initiatives and rollouts



    Additional Requirements:

    • Travel within the region on a regular basis is required (85% travel with 25%-50% overnight)
    • Travel beyond that region may be required for special projects, meetings, conferences, etc. as needed
    • 5+ years of operations management required
    • 2+ years of multi-unit operations experience
